SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Our summer camp is only as good as the staff it hires. That is why we search the globe for the most experienced and enthusiastic staff members we can find. From England to Australia and California to Maine, our staff consists of about fifteen different nations and over twenty states. Everyone comes together with one goal in mind; to make sure our campers have the best summer of their lives!

We are looking for general counselors, specialist counselors, leadership positions, and support staff for the upcoming summer. General counselors spend the day with their division of campers; guiding, supporting, and supervising them as they go from activity to activity.

As a specialist, you concentrate on a specific area, passing on your knowledge to our campers to ensure they are learning or mastering that skill. The leadership roles we fill each summer range from department heads and group leaders to medical staff and office assistants. Lastly, our support staff members work behind the scenes as kitchen staff, maintenance workers, groundskeepers, and housekeepers to ensure the day to day operations of camp are handled.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Jacobson is an accredited day camp (ACA) located on 15 acres on Long Island, NY. CAMP FACILITIES: Keuka College, located on the shores of Keuka Lake, boasts air-conditioned dorms, all-inclusive dining, the beautiful Norton Chapel for performances, rehearsal spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a library, all overlooking the water. Swimming and boating is supervised by life guards, all campers are supervised by trained counseling staff in small ratios.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students entering grades 6-9 will learn, perform, and grow musically; experience the beauty and recreation of the Finger Lakes; and form enduring friendships with students from near and far.

Our lifeguards are Red Cross Certified lifeguards and teach Red Cross certified swim lessons.

Our Riding Instructors are all certified instructors, as well as being certified in CPR and first aid by the Red Cross.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Campers age 13-15 participate in our CIT program where they can choose a specialty area in camp and mentor with staff from that area (Ex: Ride staff, lifeguards, counselors etc.) They also go on trips-some of our past trips have included: overnight to Hershey Park, overnight to Six Flags Great Adventure, day trip to the Waterfront Center (sailing and kayaking), day trip to Mountain Creek water park, overnight to Club Getaway, day trip to Brownstone Adventure Park, overnight Camping/White Water Rafting, etc.)

Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

6 & 7 Year Olds
Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include our famous 'Showtime' musical theatre production, athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more! Campers also enjoy our full-sized facilities including three heated pools, an arts & crafts pavilion, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball courts, baseball field, ga-ga courts, music studios, performing arts stage and much more!

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally with emphasis being good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds
At Hampton Country Day Camp, we recognize that our Seniors are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows Seniors to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, Seniors have "Flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. In addition, all Seniors enjoy the privilege of venturing off the HCDC grounds on exciting day trips to local attractions and fun, off-site programs.

The campus includes a charming performance lodge, outdoor Shed stage, practice building, and several rehearsal cabins and practice spaces. The campus includes a private lakefront natural sand beach with canoes, paddle boards, and kayaks. Indoor plumbing and modern shower and bathing facilities are adjacent to the cabins. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Founded in 1980 by Philadelphia Orchestra cellist Bert Phillips and Steinway pianist Toby Blumenthal, Luzerne Music Center aims to provide world-class music instruction for passionate young people in a summer camp environment regardless of their financial circumstance. Musicians ages 9 to 18 come from all over the world to train at LMC's campus located in the foothills of New York’s Adirondack Park.

Since inception, LMC has maintained strong relations with musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra and New York City Ballet. Both Junior and Senior session campers regularly visit the Saratoga Performing Arts Center to enjoy world-class performances by these ensembles, among others. Each August, LMC invites several Philadelphia Orchestra musicians to campus for a one-week residency, which includes a side-by-side orchestral reading, masterclasses, and sectionals.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: EDUCATION AND SPORTS PROGRAM: ages 5 -14 This program provides enrichment for youngsters who wish to develop talents and interests outside their regular schools. Faculty members have been selected for their ability to communicate the joy of learning to young students and to promote invention, creativity, and self-expression. All indoor classes are in air-conditioned classrooms. For the 5 & 6 year old we offer Kindergarten Academy or First Grade Academy which has small groups supervised by caring counselors. This program is combined with a half day of Sports activities, taught by experienced instructors who encourage the love of physical fitness, sports and good sportsmanship.

NEW QC Sports Club: Ages 9-14
Queens College facilities are among the best in the City. The spacious Fitzgerald Gym houses an Olympic-standard pool and basketball courts. Outdoor facilities include tennis courts, softball fields and soccer fields. Children ages 9 to 14 can choose a major/minor program that allows them to experience a number of different sports.

THEATER PRODUCTION: ages 9-14
Do you enjoy acting? Do you like to dance? Are you artistic—can you create scenery and costumes? Or would you rather go behind the scenes and become a stage manager? This program will teach campers the many different aspects to creating a successful musical play. The Theater Production will stimulate your child’s imagination while equipping them with valuable traits such as self-esteem and confidence. Join the fun as we put together a musical for parents and peers to see! Past musicals have included The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Oliver, Mary Poppins, and others!

LITTLE THEATER: ages 5 - 8
We will work on our dancing, singing and acting in the mornings then go have fun in the gym and fields in the afternoon along with instructional swim time. This year we're looking forward a production of Lion King and 101 Dalmatians. It's adorable!

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Counselor-in-Training Leadership Program for teenagers 15 and 16 focus on developing strong leaders. It helps prepare young adults for the next phases in their lives - college and the workplace. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The athletic program includes team sports and individual challenges. From basketball, softball, soccer and Frisbee to tennis, archery, biking and yoga, Ramah offers activities for all interests and skill levels. Older campers have the option to compete against other camps in varsity and junior varsity programs. They can improve their skill by learning from experts in our "Coaches-in-Residence" program. Yom Sport provides everyone with a day of friendly competition at all skill levels. We also offer a four day intensive sports clinic.

Ramah Berkshires campers enjoy swimming, boating and water play on beautiful Lake Ellis. The Red Cross certified waterfront staff instructs and guards our daily instructional swim periods, as well as free swim times. For older campers, we offer a lifeguard training certification. Our water trampoline, slide, "blob" and "Summit" add to the fun on the waterfront. Campers enjoy learning to kayak, canoe, and sail on the lake. Older campers have opportunities to participate in overnight boating adventures, as well.

Summer camp is about the great outdoors, and there's plenty of that at Ramah! Our Al Hagova specialists are trained to teach environmental values to campers through overnights and nature walks. Older campers experience multi-day bike trips and hiking trips. Campers of all ages look forward to "flying" through the air on our zip-line, or mastering climbing skills on our rock wall. Groups of campers learn to bond and cooperate while on our ropes course or hiking up Ramah Mountain. Our in-camp mountain bike trail is used by campers of all ages.

Jewish music and dance are keys to our program! Campers learn classic Israeli dances and songs, as well as modern pop tunes. Among the highlights of the summer are the Zimriyah (camp–wide song festival) and Rikudiah (dance festival). Drama specialists offer workshops in dramatic techniques and skills. Many camper edot (divisions) perform a musical play in Hebrew. Interested campers can opt for drama workshops. Those campers who love to sing can be part of our a cappella groups. Our staff and older camper a capella group performs each Friday evening, setting the mood as Camp ushers in Shabbat.

Experienced artists and art teachers transmit their love of arts and crafts and fine art throughout the summer. From painting, sculpting and papier mache to jewelry-making, woodworking and tallit-making, campers are introduced to a wide-range of activities and have the opportunity to hone their skills in areas of special interest. At various times during the summer, visiting artists share their specialties with our campers.

The multi-media center enables campers to explore photography, radio and film-making. Interested campers can improve their photography skills as they document the summer in pictures. They can anchor their own radio show on Camp's radio station, Kol Ramah (Voice of Ramah), that broadcasts throughout Camp. They can even film, direct, edit and produce movies under the guidance of our videography staff.

Interwoven into all aspects of camp life are Conservative Jewish values and Ahavat Yisrael, love of Israel. Campers participate in age-appropriate and meaningful daily prayer. Jewish learning factors into all aspects of the daily schedule, from sportsmanship to the Jewish view of saving the environment.
Integral to the Ramah community is the Mishlachat, educators and support staff from Israel who work in all aspects of camp life. They provide campers with a taste of Israel, exposure to Hebrew language, and an understanding of current events in the Middle East.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our oldest campers, entering eleventh grade in our Gesher division learn important leadership skills, spending time as counselors in training (CIT) by helping our youngest campers with their daily activities. These campers receive specialized training from the Ramah Staff, as well as on-going instruction from visiting specialists during the summer. This last year, Gesher—meaning bridge—allows these campers to envision themselves as models and leaders to younger campers.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Little Lions Camp is a kid-centered, fun-based day camp that’s main focus is keeping kids physically and creatively active. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
A camp is only as good as its committed staff. The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps is proud of its counselors, for their selected special skills, imagination, exceptional leadership and a natural sensitivity for children. At The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps we are always looking for superior people to fill our summer camp positions. We go to great lengths to secure world class athletic instructors in a variety of sports and compliment them with a professional educator led staff that oversees the daily program. Their insight, expertise and warmth are visible as the campers freely take advantage of this great source of knowledge and kindness.

The Sports Academy at Brookwood Camps combines the best of Sports Camps and Traditional Camps into one comprehensive experience. In 2014 we introduced this new concept to the camp industry and the reviews and feedback have been amazing. World Class professional instructors such as Leo Mazzone (former MLB pitching coach), Gary Lewis and Eric Lorandini (Manchester United Soccer Developmental Program instructors), Adam Schefter and Rich Ackerman (nationally recognized sports broadcasters), Tim Capstraw and Mark Coffman (former Division 1 college basketball coaches), and Scott Brunner and Chris Chambers (former NFL standouts) all spent time teaching our campers this past summer in weekly developmental programs. They have committed to return next summer along with many more instructors we have recruited to be a part of our incredible camp, including Ms. Erica (former professional dancer and lead dance instructor for a top studio in NJ) to teach our dance program for girls.

The Sports Academy experience at Brookwood Camps is one where children will develop new skills, learn to live with others, and have fun. This is accomplished each summer in a safe, nurturing & caring environment where each child is made to feel special. The results are children that leave camp with a good self- image, high confidence level and friendships to last a lifetime.

CAMP FACILITIES: Over 25 sleeping cabins, a large dining hall, Day Camp Cabin, huge swimming pool, and on-site infirmary all nestled on 125 acres of woods, fields, streams and ponds.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Accredited by the American Camp Association, 4-H Camp Bristol Hills runs a variety of Day and Overnight camping programs from youth from 5-15 years of age. Visit our website for full program descriptions of all of the programs available.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: (open to campers 15-16 years of age) Are you looking for a way to have a positive impact in your community? Are you thinking of a future career working with children? The Counselor in Training (CIT) program could be just the thing for you! Many of our counselors started out as CITs themselves.

This two-week program allows CITs to gain practical experience working with campers by assisting counselors during classes, afternoon recreational activities, evening programs, and in cabins. Not only will CITs get hands-on leadership experience, they will also attend workshops from Directors and other leaders at camp on a variety of topics such as behavior and risk management, interviewing tips and managing stress – to name a few.

CITs successfully completing the program will be considered for hire in 2016. CIT campers must attend two consecutive weeks. Housing and supervision is not available over the weekend, requiring CITs to return home.

CAMP FACILITIES: Six camper villages with cabins, lake for boating & swimming, athletic fields, volleyball & basketball courts, archery range, high ropes course, water trampoline, program buildings for fine and performing arts, dining pavilion, hiking trails.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camper choose activities daily with the guidance of counselors. Small, caring camp community that appreciates the uniqueness of each camper. Monday to Friday sleep-away camp and home on the weekends for family time!
