CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For over 50 years, The Vanguard School has been working works with middle and high school students who face challenges in academics or/and social relations. Our students range from specific reading or math difficulties to anxiety in the classroom or during testing.

We also include students who need support developing executive functioning skills such as time management, planning, organizing, or self-advocating. We also help students realize and develop appropriate relationships through boundaries, communications, and engagement in activities such as volunteering, sports, and interest clubs. The time that they work with the groups they earn community service hours for high school. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Camp Live Oak allows your child to explore the world around them here in South Florida, enjoying the many aspects of our beautiful environment! Each Camp Live Oak session and week is centered around a theme, with activities and programs built around that theme. Understanding the local natural environment and developing a respect and stewardship for that environment is vital to our program. The integration of science and art into each week allows for creativity and enthusiasm for learning and doing.

Campers enjoy swimming, canoeing, science, kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding and archery every week that they are at camp, with different activities rotating on various days. Exciting and educational field trips, guest speakers and specialty programs are scheduled regularly to give your child an extremely well rounded day camp experience!

Remember, you may register for as many, or as few, weeks as you’d like, there is no minimum number of weeks.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Everglades Youth Conservation Camp is an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited facility, meeting all ACA health, safety, and program quality standards.

The Youth Camp was created in the 1960's by individuals who cared deeply about conservation, protecting wilderness areas, wildlife in natural habitats and preserving a way of life.

The camp facility is managed by the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Residential summer camp programs are for children completing 3rd – 8th grade.

The EYCC also offers a Leadership Camp for youth completing grades 9th – 12th grade. Summer camp activities challenge camper’s physical, mental and social growth. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The EYCC provides a volunteer opportunity for high school students to assist with various tasks around the camp during the summer season. The leadership camp utilizes high school students to help in the dining hall as well as assist staff to ensure campers have a fun-filled and exciting time at camp. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: WHAT YOUR “GROM” WILL LEARN AT HO DADDY O’S SURF CAMP
Ho Daddy O’s Surf and Sport camps are week long summer camps for kids to learn the basics of surfing, wave riding, stand up paddle boarding, and traditional paddle boarding, combined with introductory lessons on surf terminology, ocean safety and awareness, and wave and weather predicting. Ho Daddy O’s provides a fun atmosphere designed to be fitness-oriented and quality supervised. We complement our instruction with games and education. Most importantly we teach a love and respect for the ocean and beach culture. We keep a low student to teacher ratio and provide personalized onsite coaching to nurture the individual needs of your young surfer.

Top quality boards – both stand ups (SUP) and surfing – will be provided for free. We rank#1 with our approach. This is no ordinary surf camp. We provide a complete “water girl/water boy” experience with a variety of instruction and water experiences. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Illahaw’s “Cow-Town” Look. Camp Illahaw sports the theme of “Old Florida”. Our Mess Hall, Bathhouse, Counselor Cabin, and Recreation Room are the beginning of Main Street. Boys and Girls Dorm

Set in the style of an old-Florida cracker-town from the 1800′s, our dormitories and activity rooms serve as the perfect home base for the week’s activities. We have a boys dorm and a girls dorm each with 32 camper capacity. Counselor to camper ratio is 6:1 at night so counselors stay in the dorm with campers all night. With so much to do, campers can stay for multiple weeks with no additional charge for overnights between sessions and we also offer laundry service free of charge!

The Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Visitor Center is home to the Cypress Restaurant, the Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida Marketplace and serves as the departure point for fun safaris offered through Florida EcoSafaris at Forever Florida.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Illahaw is owned and operated by the Allen Broussard Conservancy, a non-profit organization established in 1991. Since 2005, Camp Illahaw has offered campers the chance to experience all Florida has to offer with a diverse selection of fun activities from Horseback Trail Rides; Arena Activities; Florida History/Heritage; Low Ropes Challenge Course; Hiking; Kayaking; Archery; Shooting; Swimming, Paintball*; and our “unique” Outdoor Survival Activity*. At Camp Illahaw, not only do we concentrate on camper activities but also their social interactions under the guidance of camp directors and counselors assuring a safe and fun experience for everyone. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Ages 16 to 17

The CIT Program seeks to teach young people about responsibility, authority, and hard work that will prepare them to be counselors and leaders in the future, or to prepare them for college life. Being a camp counselor is a great summer job for college students. Our CIT program is a great way for young adults to gain the necessary experience and qualities needed to secure a job. Many camps look for past camp experience or CIT program experience. We prefer our CIT’s be past Camp Illahaw campers but it isn’t required.

CAMP FACILITIES: Sunset Lakes has three lakes with slalom courses and jumps, with a variety of choices for housing, either bunk style with main dorm with four campers to a room with private bath or 8 campers to a cabin with bath. All cabin heated and air conditioned. Main dorm has a full recreational area with TV/ games and air hockey. Full internet service in entire camp including study area and dinning hall. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Sunset Lakes offers one to nine week sessions with programming that no other camps offer, waterskiing slalom, tricking, jumping as well as wake boarding, wake skating, wake surfing, and paddle boarding. As well as off time activities of beach volley ball, basketball, slack line, ping pong, and air hockey.

In the evening students are taken for bowling, movies, go karting, miniature golf, shopping, and ice cream.

For multiple week campers the weekends are planned for one of the parks ( Disney, Universal, Sea World, Wet and Wild, tubing down a Florida river or spring, wake surfing on local large lake, trip to a Florida beach.

Our philosophy is to treat every camper as if they are the only one at camp. Every session is with a personal coach. All of our coaches have been hand picked out of our own seasoned campers . Each coach carries a coaching certificate has been trained in emergency programs, CPR and first aide. All of our staff strive to be great mentors in the cabins and on the water.

Our program is managed by Jack and Christopher Travers both level three USA Coaches. both multiple times United States Water Ski Team Coaches as well as U. s. Olympic Water Ski Coaches of the Year. Jonathan and Natallia (Berdnikava) Travers both elite international water skiers and U.S. and Belarus National Waterski Team Members and World Champions and Record holders round out the lake management team.. All four of the above can be found coaching both beginners and elite skiers in our programs.

Lelani Travers a Purdue University graduate and prior school teacher is in charge of all the house keeping booking and kitchen staff and is our first contact person for first aide.

Theater Camp:Ages 8-11 & 12-15
Campers enjoy learning about every aspect of live theatrical productions - the creation, production and performance of musical theater - in a program tailor-made for elementary and middle school students. Running 60-70 minutes, our shows are abridged but long enough to tell a complete story through script, song and dance. Each 4-week session builds to a rewarding
final production both parents and camper-actors will be proud of!

Manhigim: Grades 7-9
Tailor-made for adventurous, independent teens craving fun and friendship-filled summers. Campers hit the road every week to experience favorites like waterskiing, Rapids and state-of-the-art entertainment parks,
plus new and exciting ones we introduce every summer, in Florida and beyond. Campers also enjoy overnight and day trips to exciting attractions and on campus activities including sports, art, swim, trapeze, archery and more.

Project Endeavor programs offer renowned courses that are specialized to combine the highest level of creative intensity and balance them with safety, fun and adventure for students completing grades 9 through 12. Whether you are acting in a short film in Hollywood, working with your team to design and showcase the future of the high tech world or participating in a fashion shoot in Soho, you’re sure to have the experience of a lifetime!

We felt that high school students of all ages that are beginning to get ready to move from high school to college would be so much better prepared for the future if they had the opportunity to fine tune and discover their talents and abilities by offering these very specialized and creative summer camps for high school students.

Over 25 years, we have experienced that well-designed pre college programs run by highly qualified educational and creative experts and professionals will open the minds and hone the talents of students interested in the fields of Creative and Fine Arts, Technology and Business, Leadership and Athletics while boosting the confidence and comfort of high school students on the verge of new academic and social challenges.

It is our belief that everyone returns from our summer camps for high school students with a greater understanding of the opportunities ahead and a true appreciation of their abilities and talents. Their experience prepares them to prosper as they focus on the world ahead and their exciting future and success.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. The winning team will receive a donation on its behalf from Project Endeavor to the selected organization.

CAMP FACILITIES: We use facilities provided by Camp Suwannee. There are 14 cabins all with air conditioning, a large indoor pavilion, swimming pool and several athletic fields. Meals are served family style in a dining hall. Cabin sizes are kept at 7 campers or fewer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: LOSCC is staffed by adult volunteers who view LOSCC as a ministry to the campers who attend. We are an interdenominational Christ-Centered camp desiring to 'change lives forever, one camper at a time.'

This is our 33rd camp year.

We use volunteer staff exclusively.

CAMP FACILITIES: We are on a 13 acre marina. With access to boats and other toys. There is a restaurant with an outdoor pool on the property, a secluded cove and plenty of places to fish and play.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The kids dictate what they do, that's what makes our camp so great-it's THEIR camp! We have CPR and lifeguard certified counselors. Visiting camps have voted us the most fun camp 2 years running...

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Kulaqua's unique program allows camps ages 7 to 17 to come to camp at the same time while providing camper's their own individualized experience.

Each age group is divided into tracks: Cub Camp (ages 7-9), Junior Camp (ages 10-12), & Teen Camp (ages 13-16). We have found that providing a camper with a program that is specifically designed for them, they are happier and more interested.

Our camp counselors are trained through an ACA accredited program especially for their chosen age group and you can rest assured that your camper will be taken care of by our energetic staff.

Camp has designed a program just for their age group, giving them worship songs they will enjoy and skits they’ll love. We want to bring God to your child in a way that they will be able to experience His love and come to know Him in a lasting relationship.

Does your camper dream of horses? Do they neigh in their sleep and post photos of horses all over their room? Then Camp Kulaqua’s Horsemanship camp is the place for them! During this week of camp, your camper will have the opportunity to learn all of the basics of horse care including: grooming, feeding, equipment maintenance, and equine first aid. Your camper will have their ‘own’ horse for the week that they get to groom, ride, and spend their week with.

Your cowboy/cowgirl will learn basic riding technique and skills with their horse and come back full of stories from their trail bag. Don’t worry, they will also get to participate in the other activities camp has to offer, like the water park, spring, and go-carts. And if that isn’t fun enough, evening programs are full of upbeat songs, amusing skits, and a dynamic speaker. This week is jam-packed with fun, activities, and God’s magnificent creature- the horse.

Teen Mountain Adventure:
A trip to the mountains of Tennessee!
Harness the river on a guided whitewater rafting trip down the Ocoee River, site of the 1196 Olympic Whitewater events.

Try rappelling or rock climbing: the natural rock climbing wall is a great place to take rock climbing lessons or practice climbing techniques and safety tips.

Test your interpersonal and team building skills on one of the best Alpine towers available.

Take the challenge of the Zipline course events that are supervised by trained instructors at Historic Banning Mills

Adventure out on a hiking trek through the Cherokee National Forest.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Staff in Training is a Specialty program that not only gives you the skills to apply at a summer camp, but will also provide you with job skills that could take you into many job markets. You will spend 2 weeks at Camp Kulaqua learning job skills and could earn certifications recognized by camps and the professional markets such as:
